Eastern Shore First was founded in May 2017 by Ted Shockley, a journalist with deep roots in Accomack and Northampton counties. During his career Ted has worked with some of the great writers, photographers, designers and advertising executives of the Mid-Atlantic region. With the help of his wife, Amy, and their two children — and the enthusiastic support of readers and businesses around the Eastern Shore and beyond — he has created a monthly newsmagazine that showcases the best of what this area has to offer.
